Equipped with a shuttle extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) space suit, astronaut Edward T. Lu is about to lowered into the water prior to a spacewalk rehearsal in the Hydrolab facility at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia. Lu, STS-106 mission specialist, was joined by astronaut Daniel C. Burbank (out of frame), for the simulation.
