Description :

Astronaut William S. McArthur, Jr., mission specialist, appears ready to begin an underwater simulation of extravehicular activity (EVA) duties. The STS-92 crew member is standing on a platform that moments later was used in lowering him into a nearby deep pool. With his extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) space suit pressurized and specially weighted so as to assist him achieve a neutrally buoyant state once under water, McArthur was able to rehearse space walk chores related to the International Space Station (ISS) which are scheduled for his flight.
