(09/24/1997) --- STS-86 Mission Specialist Jean-Loup J.M. Chretien of the French Space Agency, CNES, waves to family members, friends and other well-wishers during a brief visit to Launch Pad 39A the day before the scheduled Sept. 25 liftoff of the Space Shuttle Atlantis. This will be Chretien’s third spaceflight, but his first on the Shuttle. STS-86 is slated to be the seventh docking of the Space Shuttle with the Russian Space Station Mir
