Description :

The internal steel structure for the M2-F1 was built at the Flight Research Center (predecessor of the Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, CA) in a section of the calibration hangar dubbed ''Wright Bicycle Shop.'' Visible are the stick, rudder pedals, and ejection seat. The external wooden shell was attached to the steel structure.
